As 2019 kicked off, data center industry followers were eager to learn about the top trends that will shape the data center industry this year. In fact, our 2019 forecast was the most-read story on Data Center Frontier for the first month of the year. Other popular reads for January provided updates on infrastructure news from Google, Cologix, EdgeConnex, Equinix, Compass Data Centers and more.
In January, DCF readers also were interested in the possibilities of edge computing, as well as shifts in the hyperscale market. For example, although edge computing veteran EdgeConneX has entered the hyperscale market, it says it intends to be a key player as next-generation technologies drive growth in edge deployments.
